Treatment of Secondary Amenorrhea & Abnormal Uterine Bleeding Using Generic Provera Tablets

What is Secondary Amenorrhea?

Secondary amenorrhea occurs when a woman who has been having normal menstrual cycles stops getting her periods for 6 or more months in a woman with previously normal menstruation. Secondary amenorrhoea (menstruation cycles ceasing) is often caused by hormonal disturbances from the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland, from premature menopause or intrauterine scar formation.

What is Abnormal Uterine Bleeding?

Abnormal bleeding from the uterus where the lining of the uterus breaks down during the menstrual cycle rather than at the end resulting in vaginal spotting or bleeding.
Dysfunctional uterine bleeding (DUB), defined as abnormal uterine bleeding not caused by pelvic pathology, medications, systemic disease or pregnancy, is the most common cause of abnormal uterine bleeding.

What is Endometrial Hyperplasia?

Endometrial Hyperplasia or Endometriosis is defined as the condition in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus (womb) grows outside the uterus, causing pain and bleeding.
Most cases of endometrial hyperplasia result from high levels of estrogens, combined with insufficient levels of the progesterone-like hormones which ordinarily counteract estrogen's proliferative effects on this tissue.
