Treatment of Hypertension and Angina Pectoris with Generic Norvasc Tablets

What is Hypertension?

Hypertension (HTN) or high blood pressure, sometimes called arterial hypertension, is a chronic medical condition which is characterised by elevated blood pressure in the arteries. As a result of this, the heart to work harder than normal to circulate blood through the blood vessels.
Blood pressure, which is a measurement of the force against the walls of your arteries as your heart pumps blood through your body, is summarised by two measurements, systolic and diastolic, which depend on whether the heart muscle is contracting (systole) or relaxed between beats (diastole). Normal blood pressure at rest is within the range of 100-140mmHg systolic (top reading) and 60-90mmHg diastolic (bottom reading).
High blood pressure is said to be present if it is persistently at or above 140/90 mmHg. Hypertension is a major risk factor for stroke, myocardial infarction (heart attacks), heart failure, aneurysms of the arteries (e.g. aortic aneurysm), peripheral arterial disease and is a cause of chronic kidney disease.

What is Angina Pectoris ?

Angina, or Angina Pectoris is a pain or discomfort that keeps coming back when part of your heart does not get enough blood and thus a lack of oxygen supply and waste removal. Angina feels like a pressing or squeezing pain, usually in your chest under the breastbone. Sometimes you can feel it in your shoulders, arms, neck, jaws, or back. Generic Norvasc can relieve this pain.
Angina pectoris, commonly known as angina, is chest pain due to ischemia (a lack of blood, thus a lack of oxygen supply and waste removal) of the heart muscle, generally due to obstruction or spasm of the coronary arteries (the heart's blood vessels). Coronary artery disease, the main cause of angina, is due to hardening of the coronary arteries (atherosclerosis). Treatments for angina include lifestyle changes, medicines, medical procedures, cardiac rehabilitation (rehab), and other therapies.
