Generic Lamisil Cream (Terbicip Cream) is an allylamine antifungal used to treat fungal infections of the skin caused by dermatophytes such as Trichophyton (e.g., T. rubrum, T. mentagrophytes, T. verrucosum, T. tonsurans, T. violaceum ), Microsporum canis and Epidermophyton floccosum. It is also used to treat Yeast infections of the skin, principally those caused by the genus Candida (e.g., Candida albicans ) and Pityriasis (tinea) versicolor, due to Pityrosporum orbiculare (also known as Malassezia furfur ). It is available in tubes of 10g containing Terbinafine Hydrochloride BP 1% w/w.

Generic Lamisil Cream (Terbicip Cream) - Active Ingredient

The active ingredient present in Generic Lamisil Cream is Terbinafine Hydrochloride. Terbinafine hydrochloride is a white fine crystalline powder that is freely soluble in methanol and dichloromethane, soluble in ethanol, and slightly soluble in water.

Generic Lamisil Cream (Terbicip Cream) - Contraindications

Generic Lamisil Cream is contraindicated in patients that have hypersensitivity to Terbinafine Hydrochloride or any inactive component of this medicine.

Generic Lamisil Cream (Terbicip Cream) - Dosage

Terbinafine cream can be applied once or twice daily. Cleanse and dry the affected areas thoroughly before application of Terbinafine cream.
Apply the cream to the affected skin and surrounding area in a thin layer and rub in lightly.

Side Effects of Generic Lamisil Cream

Generic Lamisil Cream may cause redness, itching, stinging at the site of application. However, treatment rarely has to be discontinued for this reason. These minor symptoms must be distinguished from allergic reactions (e.g. prutis, bullous eruptions, hives, widespread rash and or redness, urticaria, angioedema, or positive rechallenge) which are rare but require discontinuation of the medicine.

Neosporin Skin Ointment – Product Information

Neosporin Skin Ointment , a combination of neomycin and polymyxin B sulfates and bacitracin zinc is used to treat and prevent infections in minor cuts, scrapes, or burns on your skin and help prevent or treat mild skin infections. It speeds up the healing of wounds by slowing or stopping the growth of bacteria. Hydrocortisone contained in Neosporin-H is a synthetic steroid used as anti-inflammatory and anti-pruritic agent.

Dosage And Administration

Before treatment, remove any debris such as pus, crusts, etc. from the affected areas. Apply a thin layer of Neosporin Ointment 2 to 5 times daily over the affected area.

Neosporin Ointment is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to neomycin and polymyxin B sulfates, bacitracin zinc or any inactive ingredient present in Neosporin Ointment.

The side effects listed below are very rare they could lead to serious problems if you do not seek medical attention. • Blood in urine
• Difficulty with urination
• Loss of hearing
• Weakness, tingling, or numbness in hands or feet

Stop using Neosporin and seek immediate medical attention if any of the following occur:

What is Impertigo?

Impetigo is a highly contagious bacterial skin infection most common among pre-school children. Usually impetigo appears as red sores on the face, especially around a child's nose and mouth.
Although it commonly occurs when bacteria enter the skin through cuts or insect bites, it can also develop in skin that's perfectly healthy.The skin around the blister is usually red and itchy but not sore. The blisters, which break and scab over with a yellow-colored crust, may be large or small. Impetigo is seldom serious, and usually clears on its own in two to three weeks. Impetigo can sometimes lead to complications, so it is often treated with an antibiotic ointment like Generic Bactroban Ointment or oral antibiotics.

Generic Bactroban (T-Bact Ointment) – Product Information

Generic Bactroban (T-Bact Ointment) is used for the treatment of certain types of skin infections such as impetigo, infection of the hair root and boils. Generic Bactroban is also used when infection occurs in skin damaged by eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, herpes (cold sores), wounds, cuts, grazes, insect bites, minor burns etc. Generic Bactroban is for use on your skin only. The active ingredient in T-bact ointment is Mupirocin Calcium. Generic Bactroban contains Mupirocin Calcium USP equivalent to 2% w/w mupirocin free acid.

Generic Bactroban - Dosage

Side Effects of Generic Bactroban Ointment

The most commonly reported side effects are Itching, Dryness, Burning, Redness, Stinging, Pain and Swelling. Inform your doctor immediately if you notice any of the following: Wheezing, swelling of the lips/mouth, difficulty in breathing, hayfever, lumpy rash (hives) or fainting. These could by a symptom of an allergic reaction.
